Peak Soaring Association Privacy Policy

 General Data Protection Regulation




Keeping your data safe and ensuring transparency are important to the Peak Soaring Association, and we’re committed to the folowing statements. The new GDPR law goes into effect on 25 May 2018.


The Club keeps data which is submitted on the clubs application form on a secured Access Database with a backup stored securely.  This data is held by the Peak Soaring Associations membership seceratary.


The Club will never sell, rent, or otherwise provide your personally identifiable information to any third parties


Email addresses supplied.


These submitted email addresses are used solely in communicating to the Peak Soaring Association membership and not given out to any third party.  Express permission to use these emails will be sort from the existing Peak Soaring Association  membership and positively requested on an updated membership form.  All Peak Soaring Association members who do not positively agree to there email being used will not be contacted using it.


Email contact enables the Peak Soaring association to communicate the following:


  • BHPA club newsletters.
  • BHPA flying equipment safety notices.
  • Club flying site changes and restrictions.
  • Updates to the clubs site guide.
  • Notification of meeting and events.


Data supplied on the Peak Soaring Association membership form.


·        Name, Post code & BHPA number is requested on an annual basis by the BHPA & supplied by the Peak Soaring Association.


·        This data is used to confirm current Peak Soaring Association Membership only. This may be  requested by other BHPA registered clubs in relation to associate membership enquires.


·        This data will be used if requested in the case of emergencies by the appropriate authorities i.e. Ambulance, Fire & Police.



·        This data will be supplied if the Peak Soaring association are obliged by law to disclose it or where it is necessary for the purpose of or in connection with legal proceedings or in order to exercise or defend legal rights.
